Different word list
WWF uses ENABLE — a broader dictionary than NWL. Many words valid in WWF are not valid in tournament Scrabble, and some NWL words are rejected by WWF.
Different tile values

Board layout differs
The WWF board has different premium square placement than the classic Scrabble board. Opening lines and corner strategies need to be adapted.
